Ben Hageman, PA-C

As a physician assistant in family practice, I enjoy meeting patients from all walks of life and treating their various illnesses and conditions using the most up-to-date and research-driven recommendations. I strive to learn something new and be engaging, educational and compassionate in each and every encounter. My favorite aspect of primary care is that I can empower my patients to take charge of their health or help them along when they can’t. I believe it’s important for patients to understand their health and conditions, why they’re important to treat, and what our treatment plan is going forward. I am a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants.

When not at work, I spend my free time with my family, wife and son. We enjoy video games, board games, movies and lots and lots of good food! I am an avid reader and writer of the fantasy genre, and being born and raised in the St. Cloud area, I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping with family and friends, and being an active church member.

Welcoming New Patients

I chose family medicine because I like taking care of people of all ages, and I enjoy the variety of challenges in my practice. I’m a good listener, and I always help patients feel welcome and comfortable, no matter the circumstances. My areas of interest include prevention and women’s health, especially menopause. When it comes to preventive care, I work hard to engage patients in the process. As patients come in seeking change – whether it’s losing weight, managing mental illness or changing behavior – I’m honored to support and encourage them as they learn to help themselves.

I’ve been in practice for more than 20 years. I absolutely love my job and helping patients explore different paths to healthy lives.

In my free time, I enjoy lots of physical activities like tennis and cross-country skiing. I also like spending time with my family, reading, and working with the underserved in the community.
