“I feel that listening is a key factor in being a good provider.”

Pamela Kendall, NP-F

I’m from a family of medical providers, so medicine has been a part of my whole life. I chose family practice because I like the blend of patients. I see a wide variety of patients from babies to geriatric.

I feel that listening is a key factor in being a good provider. I often hear the comment “no one has ever listened to me like this before.” I believe in discussing a variety of options for treatment including integrative and holistic health care in conjunction with traditional western medicine. I complete the visit with tons of education and make sure that the patient has all their questions answered as well as understanding the plan of care that we have designed together.

Outside of work, I like to cook, bike and spend time with family. I love pets and own dogs and cats. I also enjoy crafts and photography.

I’m from a family of medical providers, so medicine has been a part of my whole life. I chose family practice because I wanted to make a difference with hands-on work, plus I like the blend of patients. I see a wide variety from babies to geriatric patients. I find that learning and understanding the family history provides a very important perspective for medical care.

I feel that listening is a key factor in being a good provider. I spend lots of time listening, allowing patients to share as much in-depth history as they can, because it’s often just one little thing that can help me put the pieces together in a health challenge. I like to offer many options, including holistic health options, so patients have many tools to help themselves. Discussions cover as much education as possible so patients can learn about common issues such as proper diet, hypertension and chronic pain management.

Outside of work, I like to cook, bike and spend time with family. I love pets and own dogs and cats. I also enjoy crafts and photography.
