“Surround yourself with quality people and you can learn something new every day. That’s the kind of committed attitude I bring to my work at HealthPartners.”

Welcoming New Patients

I lived all over the United States before undergraduate studies, and my affinity for the Midwest began when I ventured north from West Texas to attend Marquette University. After completing my general dental training at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, I then spent a year in a general practice residency program at the Ohio Veterans Administration Medical Center. I finished my formal clinic training in 1992, earning a master’s degree in periodontology at the University of Minnesota. I spent 21 great years in private periodontal practice in Bloomington prior to joining HealthPartners.

I believe in the collaborative care model that HealthPartners fosters. Surround yourself with quality people and you can learn something new every day. That’s the kind of committed attitude I bring to my work at HealthPartners. I enjoy offering a modern approach to periodontal disease management, with all that experience and science has given me to help preserve and even regenerate damaged tissues. Fortunately, the most powerful methods for treatment continue to remain well-established, measured, and conservative therapies, keeping caring practice accessible to virtually all patients.

I’m a long-time Golden Gopher men’s hockey season ticket holder. My wife and two sons wouldn’t know of any other place to call home.
